the careful order of things you have loved

the careful order of things
you have loved,
disturbance, birth, the voice
that sings inside a flightless
& dead bird.
the things you love as extensions,
the things you love back.
salt, oranges, cinnamon.

your body is a ghost,
your voice is moss.

and those extensions
come to you at night,
language cars.
nothing no longer.
an important year
for clockmakers & drunkards.

your love
hangs in midair, over air.
you love entropy &
you are not there.
moss is a ghost.
